Child Protective Services Cases for Legal Interpreters

This webinar will explain the Child Protective Services process from referral to completion. Participants will be able to identify the players involved in a CPS case and their function.  Participants will also examine possible cross-over cases and the challenges that they could present. There will also be discussions/activities focusing on where in the CPS process legal interpreters should be utilized and what additional skills a court interpreter needs to possess before accepting a court assignment involving CPS. Professional knowledge and experience will be supplemented with the presenter’s personal experience as a foster and an adoptive parent.
